File Extension
Extension: ACT! Database Pointer File
Developer: The Sage Group
Opening a PAD file directly isn’t typically possible in the way you might open a document or image. PAD files are not designed to be viewed or edited independently; they are intrinsically tied to the associated ACT! database (.ADB file). Therefore, you won’t find a program that specifically opens PAD files. Instead, the ACT! software automatically uses the PAD file in the background whenever you access or interact with the database. If you encounter issues with your ACT! database’s performance, verifying the integrity of both the .ADB and .PAD files is an important troubleshooting step. Repairing or rebuilding the database might be necessary if corruption is suspected, and consulting ACT! support documentation or seeking professional assistance is advisable in such cases.
