File Extension
Extension: Audfprint Peaks Audio Fingerprint
Developer: Daniel Ellis
Because .afpk files are designed for use within the Audfprint ecosystem, opening them directly isn’t typically done through a standard file viewer. Instead, you’ll need the Audfprint software itself to access and utilize the fingerprint data contained within. The software is usually used to generate these .afpk files in the first place, and it then uses these files to compare against its database of fingerprints to identify matching audio. Therefore, to work with an .afpk file, you would need to install Audfprint and use its functionalities to either add the fingerprint to its database or to compare the fingerprint to other existing fingerprints. Without the Audfprint software, the .afpk file remains essentially inaccessible as its binary format is not designed for direct human interpretation or use by other applications.
